The Lelah! The Lelah! The Lelah!

I've started the Lelah!! I'm using cotton tots. Hmmm. I think it actually may be ok, though. It is displaying the lace nicely. I accidentally started on the smaller needles, and completed one lace repeat before I snapped out of it. Oh well. Good practice, right?? I'm thinking a chocolate brown or sage green ribbon for the accent...
I bought the yarn for my Big Sven yesterday. Well, the main color, that is. I won't need much for the fair isle part, so I am going to wait for scraps. This is a great fair isle sweater by Cottage Creations. I never thought I'd make it, but I was inspired. I'm doing the body in a pewter color, and my fair isle will be cream, chocolate brown, and a peanut butter color. Pretty much everyone at my LYS except for Liz the Wonderhooker and I knitted it last year. I think it will be a great September project.
So yesterday after Yarn Geeks (the Friday knit group at my LYS), crazy Virginia and I walked to the parking lot to discover one completely flat tire on my car, and another one that was REALLY low. Lucky for me, MPC was at my house taking a nap with the Zoebug. He came out, and laid in the parking lot under my car. He saved the day. He is great. Then when we got home, he hung a tennis ball from the ceiling of my garage so I know how far in I can park. What a megababe. He kicks ass.

So here is a pic of most of my Victoria tank. I truly thought I would never finish this project. I may still rip out the neckline and redo it, but I'll wait until it is too cold to wear it. I think the lace pattern is pretty cool.

Okay. For movies that are still in theaters you have to "Manage List" or "Add Film" (either one works) and then below where you would enter the Amazon ASIN number there's an area to fill out all the film's info and upload a pic for a poster. SO you then have to go to your film's website (or IMDB.com) and get all that crap. Does that make sense? If not just let me know and I'll try to explain a little better.

What do you mean about links showing up as links on your blog? Do you mean in a post or a list like my "Blogs I Like" list? For a link in a post you do this:

Select the text on which you want to create a link to an internet site and click on the icon. Your text on which you have inserted a link is displayed between 2 HTML tags and . Example: blogSpirit

But selecting the text never works for me so I just cut and paste my shit in. For a list you just click on the "List" tab and scroll down to the bottom of the page. You should see a "Create a List" area where you can choose the list type, which should be "Link." Then you just have to cut and paste addresses and blog names.

If you need any more help let me know! :)

Here's a (hopefully) better explanation of how to do movies that are still in theaters or movies that Amazon doesn't sell. Say I want to add the movie Sin City. I would do a Google image search for "Sin City" which will bring up this pic here:

http://photos1.blogger.com/img/232/2636/640/sin-city-final.jpg

I have to save that pic onto my desktop. Then I go to either imdb.com or the actual Sin City website (imdb is better because all the info you need is right there, you don't have to search) to find info like who directed it, who starred in it, what company made it, etc. Blogspirit admin lets you fill in all of this:

Title, Studio, Actors, Director, Year, Film poster, Comment, Link, Link Label

I usually don't fill in ALL of this stuff cause no one really cares. So I'd go into my Admin, hit my "list" tab, go down to my movie list, click "Add Film" and then enter this:

Title - Sin City
Actors - my boyfriend Clive, no one else matters
Director - Robert Rodriguez
Year - 2005

Then I click on the "Choose File" button and choose the Sin City pic I got from Google that I saved on my desktop. I'll add any comments like, "Clive was so fucking hot in this movie, it was really good" and then if I'm not being too lazy I'll type in the address for the Sin City site in the "Link" area and put "Official Site" in the "Link Label" area. Then I'll rate it a 10 (or whatever) and click "Add This Film" and that's it!

I hope that helps. I put up a pic of the HP scarf progress on my post "New Neighbors Can Suck My Butt" but I'm not going to put up another until I have 10 sets of yellow stripes done (I think I'm on #7 now) so you'll just have to be patient. ;)

If you need anymore help let me know! :)

Okay, so of course my picture link above is not working but hopefully you get the idea. Just google image search the name of your movie and when you find the poster you want, save that pic to your desktop. Stupid fucking picture links! Gggrrrr........
